Glasgow is home to many medical innovations among them antenatal ultrasound, the Glasgow Coma Scale and of course ESPN!As you are aware ESPN17 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the ESPN. The inaugural meeting was held at the University of Glasgow in 1967 and we are delighted to welcome ESPN home to Glasgow. The conference program is exciting and innovative and our theme is what have we learned in the past 50 years and where will we go in the next 50 years? With joint sessions with EWOPA and the renal nurses, there is a packed and plentiful program.So join us to celebrate 50 years of the ESPN. Our welcome reception in the Glasgow Science Centre will allow participants to mingle and network amid the exhibits and enjoy splendid views over Glasgow and the River Clyde. We will use the evening to remember the early days of ESPN with photos, footage of memories of the early meetings and memorabilia. Meet past members and plan the future with new members.
